Goa is a place which has got something for everyone. You throw a stone to the north and the grand party scene of Goa unravels itself. Whereas if you throw a stone to the south, the innocent nature with its glorious beaches, lush greenery will unfold itself so beautifully that you'll be mesmerized. That's not all though; a stone thrown towards the centre will reveal the spiritual side of Goa and show you some of the grandest churches of the City.

But then again between these two stone throws, somewhere in the middle, towards start of south and end of north, there are two beaches whose beauty is nothing short of magnanimously inviting and whose grandeur is spell-binding. These are the Utorda and Majorda beaches.

The perks of being in Majorda:

Majorda is another beautiful beach just 3 km from Utorda beach. This beach is again a white sand beach with expansive shoreline. We went to this beach after enjoying sunset at Utorda. It was starting to get dark when we reached there. It was almost deserted by the time of nightfall. There was only one beach shack operating at this time. We immensely enjoyed our dinner lying at the sunbeds of beach and it was literally a private beach for the two of us at that time of the day. We had our dinner with the waves entertaining us with their private dance just a few yards of our dinner table. On that night we surely made the memories of a lifetime and enjoyed a private beach for free.

Here are the perks this beach offers you:

1. Less crowded
2. Water sports
3. Scenic and expansive
4. Easy access
5. Martin's Corner

Another Landmark place in the vicinity of Major da beach is Martin's Corner near Betalbatim which is made famous by the likes of Amitabh Bachhan, Sachin Tendulkar and other stars. Martin's corner is around 2 km from Majorda beach. It is famous for its splendid tasting sea food served with live entertainment bands. Tables here are almost full packed. For the vegetarians of our league, there are limited options but the place is still worthy of a visit. We tried an authentic Goan curry with Goan bread, Cheesy Pasta and Serradura from their menu. Taste of Goan curry was really something not every place could serve you.

P.S. Fun Fact : In the vicinity of these two beaches there is another beach called Betalbatim beach whose alleged bio luminescence is doing rounds on the internet world.  We also went in search of a glimpse of bio luminescence but to break your hearts (and ours), there wasn't any. I am sure there might have been an occurrence of the phenomenon on a few occasions but the truth is it is not a commonly occurring thing and only if you're very lucky, you might on a rare occasion catch it.
