Since the longest time, I wanted to visit this tiny hamlet in Himachal Pradesh, Jibhi. And, I finally did! A place so serene, a place so magical, Jibhi has left an unforgettable imprint on my heart. After I was here I realized that the most precious gems are always kept hidden from the outside world. Tucked in the Tirthan Valley a.k.a Banjar Valley, Jibhi is a mighty heaven Himachal has been nurturing for years. It’s a place you must go to in case you are searching for serenity and self-retrospection. Now that I have already built up about Jibhi a lot you might have a few questions? Not to worry, you’ll find all your answers in “Your Guide to Jibhi.”

1. How to Reach Jibhi?

By Road (from Delhi)- Take a private or HRTC bus to Manali from Majnu Ka Tila or ISBT Kashmere Gate. Step down at AUT (32 km from Jibhi) on your way to Manali. From Aut either take a local bus to Banjar or hire a direct cab to Jibhi. A cab service costs you INR 1500 while the bus ticket to Tirthan/Banjar costs you as low as INR 46. After dropping down at Banjar take a taxi to Jibhi for INR 300. To add some fun to your trip, you can always hitchhike.

Welcome to Jibhi

4. Best Time to visit Jibhi

Each season decides a new look for the tiny hamlet. Where in Spring/Summers (March-June) Jibhi blossoms up with flowers and lush green trees, the Autumn (September-October) here makes it rustic heaven. With everything looking orange and brown, this place becomes more breathtaking.

Lastly, don’t even get me started with the winters (November-February). I visited here in the month of December. Though I didn’t experience snowfall, it was heavily cold. The temperatures dropped down to -4 degrees during the nights. Also, Jalori Pass and the higher areas were covered under the white sheet, making it look all the more magical.
