Horanadu: Beauty unlimited

Tripoto

Horanadu is a small town tucked in the Malnad region of Karnataka. It is home to the famous Annapoorani temple. I have visited this place a few times with my family. This place falls under the Chikmgaluru district.

It is a hill town with pleasant weather throughout the year. KSRTC buses ply from Bangalore to Horanadu every day. A number of buses ply from Hassan to Horanadu. It is an important pilgrim center in Karnataka. The main deity Annapoorani is considered to be the provider of food. Initially pilgrims used to take shelter in the temple. Considering the recent hike in the number of visitors, the temple administration has built lodges outside the premises. The rooms cost about 100 to 200 rupees per day, and pilgrims cannot stay longer than a day. Each room has a bed and an attached bathroom. The rooms have no plug points. You can charge your phones in the multi-pin plug point in the reception area.
