One of the most visited and famous places in Nagarjunasagar is the Nagarjunasagar Dam. The dam is known to be the largest masonry dam in the world and stretches to a width of 1.6 kilometers and rises to a height of 490 feet. The dam has the capacity to store 11,472 cubic. The dam is a much visited site and is also a great place to enjoy some breathtaking views of the green countryside around it. Another place to head out to for a tranquil time in Nagarjunasagar is the Ethipothala waterfalls which are situated about 11 kilometers from the city center. The falls cascade from a height of about 21 meters against the background of some enchanting panoramic views of cliffs and green pastures. About 57 kilometers from Nagarjunasagar is a wildlife sanctuary which spreads over 3568 square kilometers. The sanctuary is home to varied wildlife including tigers, Langurs, Pythons, Macaques, etc. The place is a haven for nature and wildlife lovers.
Karimnagar
Karimnagar is a place that has an old world charm and is sure to enchant one with its simplicity as well as grand heritage. Situated at about 160 kilometers from Hyderabad, Karimnagar is indeed a revelation, a place with many hidden treasures waiting to be discovered.
