“Gar Firdaus Bar Rue Zamin Ast

Hami Asto , Hami Asto, Hami Ast”

(“If there is a paradise on the face of the earth,

it is here, it is here, it is here!!”)

We all know that Kashmir is beautiful, breath-taking, exotic, amazing. Everyone wants to travel to Kashmir to see the snow-capped mountains, lush green meadows, glacial streams and majestic lakes. However, there is much more to Kashmir than that.

Kashmir is also called as “pir waer” in the local language, which translates into- “the valley of saints”. Spirituality has left an indelible mark on the soil of Kashmir valley. There are hundreds of sufi shrines (dargahs) in the Kashmir valley. In the city of Srinagar itself, one can spot a shrine in almost every area.
