Best Places I explored in Bangalore with my Kid

The last 3 years in Bangalore with my toddler have been awesome. We have explored so many places on weekend trips like Sakleshpur, Chikmagalur, Goa, Pondicherry and even Varkala. But sometimes you need an outing close to home. We live near Tumkur road, and far from the kids attractions that Sarjapur Road, Koramangala and such places offer. However, these are some of the places my baby really loved and I'd highly recommend

1. Bannerghatta Biological Park

Bannerghatta Biological Park is a full day program out with kids. I'd recommend going on a weekday(not a public holiday) and bring something to eat with you, as I didn't find any good restaurants around. It is closed every Tuesday. We did the AC bus safari and it was superb. There are no grills on the windows as they are sealed, so the view is unfettered. Apart from the animals, the landscape is also stunning. I did feel bad for the animals because they seemed sedated. There is a zoo and butterfly park also to explore and it will take full day to explore everything.

2. Vishveswaraya Industrial and Technological Museum

This museum is highly interactive and has something for all ages. From the evolution of engines, to space and biotechnology, they have covered almost every field of science and technology. My favourite part is fun science, where my son loved pressing buttons and observing different phenomena in a fun way.

3. Prani, The Pet Sanctuary

This place is on Kanakapura road, around 10km farther from the Art of Living Ashram. The concept is unique with exotic and rescued pet animals, whom they allow to touch under the supervision of their guides. The price ir Rs. 300 per head, but it's totally worth it. The area isn't too big, but you can touch iguanas, rabbits, hamsters, emus and feed horses and even allow birds to sit on you in the aviary.
