While we were looking for holiday properties in Kerala, we stumbled upon a heritage property that we loved, and of course we’re gonna tell you guys all about it!

The design of the resort is a true embodiment of traditional Kerala style architecture where reconstruction of each building reflects the influence of different cultures of this region over a period of time. These buildings which are over 100 years old, have been recreated exactly to provide guest with a chance to travel back in time and experience the traditional lifestyle of the people of this region in the past, while enjoying all the modern amenities the resort has to offer.
Built over an area of 2.98 acres to 5 star classification requirements the resort has 19 well-appointed large rooms (up to 600 sq. ft), restaurant, lounge bar, Ayurvedic spa, swimming pool, a small lake, performing arts cum banquet hall (Koothambalam), a large kitchen (3,500 sq. ft) with all modern equipment & cutlery and two bars (AC and non AC). The bars are housed in a separate enclosure away from the resort in order to maintain the ambience inside the property. The resort has the license to serve liquor anywhere within its premises.

BEST TIME TO VISIT
Winter is considered best season to visit Kumarakom as temperature lies between 20 to 30° C. On average, the coolest month is August with 29.4° C.
Also note that, the famous Nehru Trophy Boat Race is conducted on the Punnamda Lake, near Alappuzha, on the second Saturday of August every year. The village blooms with pink water lilies between August and September due to which it becomes a delightful sight.
