Day 1

We started our trip from Chennai via Parveen travel A/C sleeper bus. it took us almost 10hours to reach kodai bus stand. The moment we reached kodai bus stand, we had our Driver waiting for us. yes, we hired a cab for 2 days along with Driver as we were 5people and driving is hills is a risky task 😂
We checked in our hotel and without wasting any minute we got ready, had breakfast and left for sight seeing.

Day 1 ( exploring kodaikanal)

one of the popular spots in kodaikanal giving us a beautiful view of kodai lake.

Moir point
This place gives a breathtaking view of valleys and it is named after Sir Thomas Moir. 
Timings- 10am-5pm
Entry- Rs 10/ person

Pine forest
Covered with tall pine trees and dries cones, it's a perfect place to walk in woods .  you can choose to do horse riding as it's popular over there.
timings- 10am-6pm

Suicide point
this place is highly protected with high fencing cause of death cases in past. it gives a view if dense and deep valley.

Pillar rocks
Popular for it's Unique vertically shaped rocks giving tribute as a gesture of love. It's a popular spot in town having a beautiful mini garden and rich in flora.

After covering these places we headed for lunch around 2:30 and after that we headed towards our last spot for the day "Dolphin Nose"

It's a 4km-5km trek and has 3main spots to cover

The vibe of this place is amazing, surrounded my gypsy cottages, Russians, Israelis  xD

after trekking we got our dinner packed from punjabi dhaba, main market and went back to hotel as our hotel was 2km far from main town and had no shops/market nearby.

Day 2


2nd day was about exploring nearby village "Poombarai" and "Mannavanur"

we started off at 9 in morning with our Driver. it took us 1hour to reach Pommbarai . the whole one hour drive was full of scenic valleys, a few points like green valley view, Palani view and lush greenery.

Pommbarai is a small village situated in Palani hills famous for Arulmigu Kuzhandhai Velappar thirukkovil temple. ( Lord Murugan temple)
  we finished our Darshan and  looked forward to mannavanur grassland.

Mannavanur grassland is a hidden Pearl near kodaikanal. we can say that it's  Scotland of Tamil nadu xD
lush greenery, cattle grazing. we explored in the best way possible.  We kept walking until there was no human around us.

Timings- 9am-5pm

around 4:o0 we reached Kodaikanal lake, we had our lunch, took a bicycle ride around Bryant's park 
and went to our last spot before saying Adios.
Coaker's walk
A place where you can walk amidst the valleys, mountains.  we couldn't find a better way to refresh ourselves after a tiring day in mannavanur.
Entry- Rs10/person
Time:- 7am-7pm
we got some chocolates and hand made earnings.
hand chocolates, chocolate tea and hand made jewellery are considered to be of a great quality.
around 6:30, we went to main market to catch our bus.

Day 1

Kodaikanal is known as the princess of hills located in Upper palani hills, Tamil Nadu. The weather is amazing throughout the year. we visited in March and we experienced every weather in 2days, from chilled breeze in morning to fog at night. from moderate sun in afternoon to raining cats and dogs in evening, it has been an amazing experience. Budget= Rs4500/person ( shopping excluded) Stay-  Rs2700ight              suite room ( Kumargiri by Atlas Hopper) food-  500/day Cab= Rs3800 for 2days ( tax, driver, petrol included) Bus fare= 2200/ person ( Round trip)
