Lavasa..... a private, planned hill city.....the brainchild of billionaire industrialist, Ajit Gulabchand...... about an hour and a half drive from Pune.
A city which sits snugly by a water front....an entire city built up from scratch....it is a described in their promotional video as a "stirring adventure"....a city which will be at once hi tech and close to nature..."which will redefine the notion of city" as we know it...ambitious that....but for now...a must visit idyllic place where one can just stroll along and soak in the newness and beauty of the place

Besides kayaking, there were other games and sports too....but we were hungry and headed for our lunch in one of those cafes on the promenade ...
......after our fill, we headed upwards towards an adventure camp site ...Xthrills....run by Mr Nikam...
...we sit around...for a cup of tea ....beside the ambient tent rooms...
....we peep into the rooms....tiled up and furnished....for weekend stays and week long ones....for youngsters, for families....
......adventure and nature....
....in safe hands.....safety harness for ......
....ziplining across the mountains.....rush of adrenaline....
....we hurtle down the treacherous mountain roads.... to reach the plains before it becomes dark....but can't stop to capture natures beauty and a setting sun!
