Day 1

Hello All,

Lavasa is a private, planned city being built near Pune. It is stylistically based on the Italian town Portofino, with a street and several buildings bearing the name of that town.

Spreading across 7 hills, covering an area of 25000 acres, Lavasa is a perfect blend of beauty and infrastructure.

This modern day hill station is an enjoyable retreat for all its visitors and has a lot to offer to its tourists from picturesque scenery to an extremely well-developed infrastructure including hotels, resorts, educational institutes, malls, residential property, IT companies etc. Lavasa is turning out to be a new hangout for people looking for a small trip away from the hustle and bustle of hectic city life.

The travel from Pune to Lavasa is one hell of ride. Cutting through various mountains, finally we reached Lavasa. Since we had a private residence as our accommodation in Lavasa, we didn't had to wait in long queue of bikes and cars. The entrance for them was ₹500. Lavasa is spread in acres so having your own vehicle is a must.

Enroute Lavasa, we came across Temghar dam. We had our lunch of authentic maharashtrian cuisine - thaleepeeth and paneer paratha at Hotel Shreepad. After reaching Lavasa, we just relaxed till evening and later we went to main sight seeing spot at promenade. While taking a walk at promenade, we came across lot of fine dines and restaurants. But we enjoyed pizzas at one of small joint which prepared their own sauce and dough. Later we enjoyed Belgian dark chocolate stick which was too yummy too.

Day 2

Next day, Early in the morning, we drove off to the dam area, then to the other of side of Lavasa which we aren't sure of the name but it was breathtakingly beautiful view of Mutha River in Lavasa. We had breakfast at our residence and lunch at same Pizza place we had last night. We could see lot of people on promenade walking, strolling, segwaying. There were water activities too but we didnt indulge in any of it. The entire place was buzzing and very lively in the day time!

We left for Mumbai at around 5pm, stopped at Pune for some food before heading to Mumbai!
