Everyone in Mumbai and in nearby locations would have been visited to Matheran, the place which I am mentioning is not Matheran but its a trek which basically ends in Matheran Garbett Point and the route is via Garbett Plateau.
Take the First Local train from central side to Karjat and get down at Bhivpuri Railway station. From Dadar it will take 2 hrs to reach the destination station. From Bhivpuri station start walking toward Diksal Village and from there the trek will start (starting point photo uploaded). When you will Start the trek after 5 mins you will cross the temple and at the end of the village turn right From the well, and then you will be reaching beautiful lake. After that the trek will be 45-60 mins by the lake side only. After the end of the lake you will have to start the ascend towards the Sagichiwadi Village. The ascend will take around 30-40 mins. Villagers are very helpful they will provide you with cold water greet you and help you with the route. After that start the climb toward Garbett Plateau which is ascend for 2.5 hrs. Relax for an hour or more at Garbett Plateau. After that climb toward Garbett Point which is steep ascend for 20 mins but the climb is very steep so be carefull and do not climb in sneakers or sports shoes kindly wear trekking shoes for safety. Relax and enjoy the view at Garbett point for 20 mins and then walk towards the matheran entry point from where you can get taxi or you can stay at matheran for a Day. We can also stay at Garbett Plateau by taking our own tent and building tents there. Just take prior permission. The taxis will take you back to Neral station
