It’s that time of the year when the nights are dark and cold, witches rise on their broomsticks, ghosts and goblins come out of their and hunt for human blood! But on the other side, all we humans are bothered about is what costume to wear for the Halloween party and think of ways to make it the most memorable!
Halloween’s origin dates back to ancient Celtic festival of ‘Samhain’. The Celts, who lived, 2000 years ago in the area, that is now in Ireland, UK and some part of France, celebrated their New Year on November 1st. This day marked the end of summer and the harvest and the beginning of human death.
Celts believed that on the night before the New Year, the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred, and thus they celebrated ‘Samhain’ to ward off the evil spirits.
The Celts wore costumes and used to build huge scared bonfires, where people gathered and gave animal sacrifices to the Celtic deities and celebrated. As of today, lot of celebrations happens around the world, and Mumbai is one of the happening cities where you can catch lot of action. Sometimes, it's good to get a little scared, whether its watching horror movie, reading spooky story or stay in a haunted house. Enjoy an evening of fright and fun at the halloween event. Both children and adults can enter into the event. Spend your Halloween Night at the back waters of Pawna Lake.
The Campsite is located at Pawana dam and surrounded by four forts Tung, Tikona, Lohagad and Visapur. Water in the front, Tikona fort at left and at the right is Lohgad fort and Visapur fort. Privacy is maintained by the nature. Hardly 50 km from Pune and 13 km from Lonavala. You can have access to the lake water easily from this camping site. The only camp site having mesmerizing view of the sun set.
Itinerary:-
Day 1 :-
Directly Reach the Camp Site by 5 PM. (Directions and Road map will be shared)
Get Fresh and start with snacks.
Visit the lake to Relax or Swim.
BBQ shall be served as it gets dark.
Enter into a costume around the dim light of a bonfire and share horror stories with other campers. By the time you finish your gossips/dance and fun it will be a dinner call.
Sleeping in dome tents as per the size of the groups. (Couple Tents, 4 Man Tents, 6 Man Tents).
Day 2 :-
Wake up with the birds chirping.
Have a quick breakfast.
And then time to say bye with loads of beautiful memories.
