Jamali Kamali is a historical monument located in Mehrauli, Delhi, India. It consists of a mosque and a tomb, which were constructed during the late 16th century. The name 'Jamali Kamali' is derived from two distinct persons. Jamali was the nickname of the Sufi saint Sheikh Fazlullah, who was also known as Sheikh Jamali Kamboh. Kamali is believed to be the name of a disciple or a courtier of Sheikh Jamali.
The mosque and tomb are excellent examples of Indo-Islamic architecture and are adorned with intricate calligraphy and geometric designs. The central chamber of the tomb has a dome-shaped roof and is surrounded by arched corridors. The mosque, on the other hand, has a rectangular prayer hall with a dome-shaped roof and is adorned with intricate stucco work.
There are stories behind Jamali Kamali Area. Some people said there are jinn and ghosts in that area. To find out the truth, one day I visited Jamali Kamali Tomb, Balban Tomb, and Mughal Kabarstan.
