The calming beauty of Connaught place in odd timings, Delhi...! 

Calmness and Connaught place can't be together all the time. This is what people think, especially the visitors who visit this busy commercial complex from morning to night. But, being a person who loves Delhi to the core, I have visited the Connaught place, in Delhi in some odd timings and captured the calm beauty of it. Trust me, it is totally indescribable. Normally, this place is always filled with hell lot of people, street vendors, street performers, bloggers, Vloggers, Shopaholics, visitors, tourists, and even beggars too.

This is the only place in the whole capital city, where you can find every kind of person belongs to various social statuses. From rich to poor, from narrow-minded to open-minded, from undernourished to sophisticated, you can find many types of people here. Hence, the people make it a busier place in Delhi. With the availability of every single product and every single service, this place is filled with all brands of clothes and food chains. You can find restaurants, bars, cafes, clothing stores, interior stores, jewelry stores, electronics, pan shops, social hangout places, you name it and you find it so easily.

Divided into various blocks and named after various alphabets, this place is connected to the gates of the largest metro station of Delhi, Rajivchowk. I have visited this place too many times. In fact, in my recent visit, I just roamed only in the place. I have selected this place to execute my social experiment in the form of fashion adventure by getting decked up myself in androgynous looks. With the mixed opinions, love and hatred, criticism and judgments, this place were perfect for my social experiment.

Hence, I have clicked a few pictures in a few odd timings, where there were only a very few people and made me feel, Connaught place as the calmest one in Delhi. I have visited this place from Jan 23rd night to Jan 26th afternoon! As a part of my birthday vacation, I have started with this place in Delhi.

On Jan 23rd, I have roamed in the night till midnight in the blocks of Connaught place, happily smoking and having conversations with people on the phone. The next day, after visiting Dilli Haat, I have roamed in the afternoon and also at the midnight, where I could capture the pictures of Connaught place being decorated with too many lights for the occasion of Republic day.

In the midnight, for the first time, I have ever experienced, Connaught place in such extreme calmness. The night was darker and the weather was too cold. The lights were lit brightly. There were hardly people roaming on the roads. All the stores got shut down. I could hear the sound of leaves waving in the air. I could feel the extreme cold temperature. Generally, in the hush of people in Connaught place, it is hard to experience such calmness. But I felt so overwhelmed and so happy, that I got a chance to explore and experience. I know it may not be a big thing for you.

But if you are a person who loves visiting Connaught place and felt the place is always busy, you must try visiting it at midnight times. Grab a bench and just look at the sky, you will just fall in love with the beauty of Delhi. And also there is another odd timing where you can find the same calmness in day times too. Are you wondering when?

Well, after roaming with my queer pals in the blocks of Connaught place on Jan 25th, mostly I was in the restaurants and cafe chilling out with them. I have encountered a different Connaught place where it has been decorated for the Republic Day.

Yes, on Jan 26th, in the afternoon, when I have visited my favorite cafe, Chai point to grab breakfast and coffee before I leave for my next destination, I found the same calmness in the day time. Of course, national holidays are one of those such odd timing, where you find Connaught place calm and serene. You will find the place as a vacated palace if you visit on such days.

Fortunately, I got to experience that too. On Republic Day, the capital city routes remain closed and shut till 2 pm. Most of the metros get closed and some of the roadways get temporarily closed due to some security issues. But, I made my visit to the Connaught place because it was near to my hotel in Paharganj.

You may feel annoyed at the excitement in my tone when I'm describing it. If you visit a place which is always busy from morning to night, it seems different to see the same place in calmness. It brings out the different kind of beauty from the place. Hence, I'm suggesting you from my end to visit the Connaught place in its odd timings to witness the calming gorgeous beauty of it. Well, Delhi is full of surprises.
