Delhi is ready for the G20 Summit with several areas in the city getting revamped. While the other events taking place at G20 do sound fascinating, the food festival is the biggest highlight for Delhi folks.
Delhiites get ready to celebrate food over this two day affair from 29 countries! The G20 food festival will be a two-day affair. The food festival's focus is - 'International year of millets,' which will be held at Talkatora Stadium on February 11 and 12, 2023.
Try food from the Group of Twenty (G20) countries including Argentina, Canada & more!
Besides the food festival there are many events taking place. Like a heritage walk in Southwest Delhi has been scheduled for the Summit. The theme of the food festival is “Taste the World, Cherish The Diversity” and “International Year of Millets”. “The food festival would generate awareness on various international cuisines as well as provide education and guidance on nutritional health and food preparation,” said an NDMC official.
NDMC member Kuljeet Singh Chahal said, “We are going to conduct a two-day G20-themed international festival next week where several countries will participate. Apart from this, to celebrate the idea of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family), we are planning to start small festivals or set up food joints at specific areas where cuisines from different countries and Indian states will be available under one roof. A specific location will be identified to implement this plan.”
