Well, one needn't be Bengali to love Fish, (because I have seen my Bangla friends being so passionately sentimental about Fish). One only needs to be a Fish lover to love Fish. Simple. Delhi is deprived of some great fresh salt water fish and of course sea food being a non coastal area, but there are still some Gems recreated by Chef's in this City which were able to leave a mark on Sam's palate. As a Food Fish is rich in Protein and Omega 3 fatty acids. Doctor's recommend fish over red meat any day. And I strongly recommend one orders a portion of Fish over a steak or a Lamb shank, its definitely a healthier choice. So below are my favourite Fish Dishes in Delhi / NCR. You have to try all dishes atleast once before you die.
The Olive Bar & kitchen
Andaman Tuna with Carpaccio, pickled turnip, quail eggs, french beans on a braised onion tart with artichoke and green apple puree is one of the best fish dishes I have ever tasted. This has got to be one of Chef Sunan's most blissful tuna creations I have ever had. The presentation, ah! what a pretty picture on a plate. And taste - par excellence.
Chilean Seabass - The undisputed king of all fish in the city and another dish I love at The Olive Bar & kitchen. The honey mustard complemented the seabass really really well. The caramalized brussel sprout sucotash, sunchoke puree and fennel with a heavenly mash made this dish so seductive that one surrendered to its magic. This has to be one the most magical seabass dish I have ever tasted. Definitely the dish of the day for me

Fried Calamari - Awesome Calamari in a lemon pepper batter with a slice of lime. Bliss! One of the best Crispy Calamari dishes available in the city with the perfect batter.

Guppy by Ai
Eel Yanagawa Fu - Braised Japanese eel with egg is served on a bed of burdock root and seasonal grilled vegetables. My first time tasting eel and man, I am impressed by its subtlety in flavour and I must add it goes well with egg.

Coopers Bar & Grill
Taco's Vs Basa - Crushed spiced Nachos on top of Basa topped with a lemon and dill sauce is divine beyond comprehension. Crushed Nachos - A great twist to the dish. Wild rice served as an accompaniment is fab too.

Pan seared Fresh Fish - Awesome River sole complemented with a tangy lime sauce served with a side of green beans, fennel, almonds and citrus orange salad. This dish was "spot on" on taste and flavour. The sauce was fabulous. Loved the fish which was cooked to perfection.
Shoshe Mach - this mustard flavoured fish was heavenly and I loved the zing of mustard in the gravy. It tasted so great with white rice and I recommend you use your fingers to eat this.

Masor Logot Khorisa (Assamese Fish) - Fantastically done. So rich, in flavour, that it ignites your senses. The bamboo shoot just brings out the flavour of the fish in a very unique way.

Herb Crust Fish - The Fish was perfect. Could be a little crispier though, but was great. The sauce was more than perfect.
