In Kumaon region of the state lies the town of Pithoragarh which is so beautiful and serene that once you are there, you will find many interesting places to spend your precious time with. At the height of 1625 meters lies the Pithoragarh town which is district headquarters of Pithoragarh District.

Standing on top of a hill in pithoragarh town, this fort was built by the "Gorkhas" more than 200 years ago under the Governance of Chand Rajas of Kumaon. Earlier it was a tehsil headquarter but now it is a museum.

Only Airport in Pithoragarh District is Naini Saini Airport and is in Pithoragarh town.

Dedicated to Lord Shiva this Cave temple is located 3 kms from town and 10 kms from Naini Saini Airport. Visit this place to wave your hands at Beautiful Saur Valley.

Around 8 kms from town this is place where you can sit for hours and enjoy the majestic view of Great Himalayas. There is a famous and sacred place among the locals which you can visit, the Manu Temple.

This is the place where Pithoragarh Dam and Lake are situated. Army Gurudwara, Laxmi Narayan Mandir, Maharaja Park and Latesvar Mahadev is other places of interest.

Dedicated to Mahadev and Goddess Jayanti this temple lies 10 kms from city by road /4 kms by Hiking the trail. Beleive me this trekking trail that leads to 2100 meters above sea level is quite beautiful, so do not miss it if you are in Pithoragarh. It provides a Spirituality to beautiful Himalayas visible from here.

At this place you will find Shiva Temple that can be reached only though trekking from Pithoragarh itself or from Nakuleshwar Temple.
It's quite a reward considering the Ambience, Beauty and Spirituality you feel once you reach at Thal Kedar Temple Place. It lies 880 meters above the sea level and 12 kms from Naini Saini Airport. Importantly also founds mention in Skanda Purana.

Known as Ancient Kingdom of Latyrui Kings visit here to see the Musk Deer in their natural environment. It's rhododendron sprinkled hills, Enticing Valleys and view the Panchachuli, Chipplakot peaks in their majestic forms. It borders with Nepal and China. Altitude ranges from 600 meters to 6905 meters making it an Allrounder Place to serve Manyany types of Travellers.
