Tanot is 80 km from Longewala. Road is amazing with sand dunes all around it.
Reached Tannot, the must place to go, you will see many goats over there, which some of the locals over there say these goats never die "Beliefs". We met an ex BSF man, he shared many of his life stories related to wars, I was amazed listening to his stories.

Next day, we checked out and we left for Tanot and Longewala. This one was one amazing drive with sand dunes and wind mills around! Tanot is war memorial of 1971 Indo-Pak war. This place has war museum, a small auditorium that plays highlights of 1971 war. It has all bunkers, vehicles etc. that were used in war and left by enemy.
taxi charges to Tanot was way too high and if i rented scooty then it would be associated with the risk of puncture on 120km road with no local mechanics nearby so i took government bus as the safest bet to Tanot Temple (120km from jsm) to witness the much hyped aarti there. Stayed there overnight and left early morning back to jaisalmer.Day 3 i kept to explore a few restaurents there before afternoon as i had to catch train back top delhi then.
