Neer Garh Waterfall

NIKHIL JAIN
I hired a scooter (Activa) for Rs 400 per day from them for next few days of my stay in Rishikesh. My first place to explore there was Neergarh waterfall trek.

Neer Garh Waterfall is 6 km from Ram jhula and is on a different mountain. There are three levels to this waterfall. For each level, we had to trek. So, we parked our vehicle at the base of the waterfall and we were ready for the challenge.I have to admit, level one was easy. It acts like a natural pool in the mountain. Swimming in the pool with the stunning view is a bliss.

After breakfast, it was time for 4 of our friends to bid goodbye to Rishikesh, courtesy their commitments in office! But they still had the zeal to go some more, a little more.On their way, they took a detour towards Shivpuri to reach the Neer garh waterfall.
It is about 6 kilometer from Tapovan and 3 kms from Laxman Jhula. It is one of the most frequented waterfalls as it is the easiest to access. There is also a small pool where you can enjoy the serenity, relax by dipping your feet in cold water or even take a bath.Visit Neergarh Waterfall just after monsoon season and you will witness water cascading thousands of feet from the mountain top.Trekking through waterfalls and passing by shallow pool provides you genuine feel of nature with many species of butterfly can be seen here and the water is very clear. The entrance fee is Rs 30, and then you need to go up by mountain road.Distance (From Rishikesh Railway Station): 9 KmsCommonly Visited From: Rishikesh Railway StationTrip Duration (From Rishikesh Railway Station, Including Travel): 2-3 HoursPlace Location: 5 Km From Lakshman JhulaTransportation Options: Cab / Auto / + Walk/TrekEntry Fee: Rs. 30 per personInformation Source: euttaranchalHappy travelingFir milege kahi kisi roj ghumte firte :)
