Singapore Flyer Raffles Avenue Singapore

Then we walked ahead towards Singapore Flyer, as we had booked the tickets earlier, we were able to get in easily without waiting in queue. As it was a working day, we saw comparatively less crowd there. This is a huge giant wheel where number of air conditioned cabins are made to accommodate more than 20 people in one cabin. This flyer gives you a 360 degree view of Singapore in all angles. This is around 40 minute ride, which moves slowly and allows you to have a mesmerizing look at the beautiful city.

I was hit by the beauty of the city. It was stunningly clean and green. I learnt later that Singapore is the greenest city in Asia. COO Bistro and Boutique Hostel is 5-7 mins from Outram Road MRT Station. As a female traveler, I stayed in a mixed dorm and felt completely safe. I quickly got freshen up and moved out to explore the city. I got down at Promenade Station which is mere five-minute walk to Singapore Flyer which is Asia’s Largest Giant Observation Wheel standing at an impressive 165m from the ground, and offers you breathtaking, panoramic views of the Marina Bay and beyond.

Singapore Flyer, Raffles Place , Merlion Park and Clarke Quay.Take MRT and alight at Promenade. Singapore Flyer(Giant wheel) is just 5 mins away from the MRT. Why go Singapore Flyer when we have already seen the city from the top of Marina Bay Sands and at the top of it its expensive too?.33$ per person for half an hour ride. The answer to that is : it's just an another experience one should have and you get to see the city in day time from the top.

After enjoying the scenic bumboat ride and having learnt about Singapore’s rich culture & heritage, it was time to experience the other iconic tourist attraction ‘Singapore Flyer’ standing 165m tall, is one of the world’s largest Giant Observation Wheel (approx 30m taller than the world famous London Eye) and also one of Asia’s biggest tourist attractions. There are fixed capsules the size of a bus, the spectacular icon is capable of holding up to 784 passengers. Each capsule has a 28-person capacity and each revolution takes approximately 30 minutes. As the wheel turns, you’ll be treated to a visual 360° feast of iconic and historical landmarks and views from the Marina Bay to the Singapore River, Raffles Place, Merlion Park, Empress Place and the Padang. There is no other place in Singapore that offers these breathtaking, magnificent day and glittering night views.Walking down the Helix Bridge I reached The Float @ Marina Bay and ended my second day in Singapore joining locals as well as some tourists celebrating Lunar New Year and it was truly a delight to be a part of such celebrations and relishing on to some of the best local dishes, a perfect ending to a hectic day.
