Day 1:- Just before Paro Airport, you see the mighty Himalaya and Everest Range.Day 1 :- landed to Paro Airport in the afternoon. One of the most scneatic AirpoAfter Paro, We had to Go to the Capital City Thimphu which is approx 1 hour drivDay 1;- After Check-in , our first Destination was Changangkha Lhakhang, the oldAfter the temple, we headed towards Under Construction Buddha Point....BeautifulBuddha Dordenma statue is one of the largest statue of Buddha in the world (51.5Blessing From BuddhaBeautiful Thimphu Valley in the backgroundBuddha Point is at Hilltop with 270 degree open view...Very Windy....We had a goDay 2 :- In the Morning we headed towards Motithang Takin Preserve in Thimphu, aTakin - Bhutan National Animal...Takin is belived to a hybrid Animal with Face oThere is a trekking ground through which you get to see the preserve ..You get plenty of parachute Flowers.....Adya enjoyed blowing them....Our Backup Cameraman for the trip....Later We headed towards Famous Zilukha NunneryIn the background We can see the palace (really tiny compared to Rajasthan) of RPhoto-shoot with the palace in the backgroundDaye 2:- Next Stop was School of Arts and crafts where students learn 13 differStudents engaged in learning different Arts....you can buy them (if you can affohandmade paper mill was our next stop in Thimphu..Bhutanese feel proud in preserThimphu in the backgroundLast stop for the day was Simply Bhutan museum. You can see how the Bhutanese usWe were also offered Butter Tea...Bhutan has tradition to welcome the guests by Day 3 :- From Thimphu we headed to Punakha , Old capital City of Bhutan. Approx Day 3 :- We had to cross the famous Dochula pass (3100mts) , the most beautiful We stopped for an hour at the top....the valley was covered from Cloud and reallHad short photo session at Dochula Pass....A Buddhist Tourist group worshiping 108 StupaStupa in background. Stupa holds great significance in Buddhism religion and youThere was a famous Druk Wangyel Cafe at the pass. We enjoyed Butter tea ....AwesAfter Reaching Punakha we headed towards Chimi Lhakhang, situated on a hillock iThere was some trekking though Paddy fields to reach this temple...Weather was sHappy to Walk......Amazing LandscapeYou will find Prayer Flags across all Monastery, Roadside and temples. Prayer flWe will also find Prayer Wheels almost everywhere which has again deep religiousParting Shot to the templePunakha Chu....not very deep...but current was high....inviting for Rafting....White sand and making of small palace in Bhutan...In the evening reached to the Resort..End of Day 3..Day 4 :- We had a long day to cover the attractions of Punakha. Camera was fullyDay 4:- Our first stop was Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Lhakhang nunnery: Perched oA religious Ceremony was going on....One Stupa was being built ..The temple houses a 14-foot main bronze statue of Avalokiteshvara (Chenrigzig chSome Photo BreakMajestic PunakhaFamily PhotoTaking Blessing from Prayer WheelNuns were very happy and Adya made few friends there..White Stupa at the Centre...With fully enlighten we left for the next stopWe stopped for a picnic spot near the Punakha riverJump Jump ....Father Daughter Moment..We walked through Bhutan's lonest Cantilever bridge..400 Meter long....it was swPost Lunch we headed towards Punakha Dzong..It is also called Pungtang Dechen PhThe Dzong is located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu (father) and Mo Chhu (motThe Dzong hosts the monk Bodies who move to Thimphu during the summer.Dzong has giant Wheel of Life which has great significance in Budhisim.It represDay 5 :- We had to go to Paro From Punakha which is almost 4 hour Drive. We had One more round of Photo Session at Dochula Pass near 108 Stupa....You cant ignorIt was really cold at the top (Almost 3100 Mt)Kudos to our Young Photographer....One more..Temple/Resort (?)at the backgroundGetting some peace of Mind....So we also tried :PThis is Paro Airport. A bird eye view from Paro Hill....Awesome......You can see Snow-Capped Mountain in the background.Day 5 :- Our First stop in Paro.Ta Dzong, originally built as Watchtower, which Paro Valley from the MuseumGroup Photo of the travel group who was with us for the whole trip. We had gone First was Joenpa Legso - Traditional welcome DanceThese guys were awesome with the musical instrumentsNext we saw Zhunggdra dance. This genre is original form of singing in Bhutan anWhat followed next was mask Dance (Shatsam) .One more mask Dance (NGA-GING) . All Mask Dance in Bhutan originated with the neLastly we had Laya Dance (Ringula Zida)And we also joined..As a return gift..some Bollywood Steps :)Adya with the young dancers...It was followed by a lovely dinner...End of Day 5.Day 6 :- It was the day reserved for excursion to Taktshang Monastery (approx 5 It is one of the most famous of Bhutan’s monasteries, perched on the side of a cIn the background you can see Apple tree ...Paro is full of Apple tree and what There is a famous Taktsang Cafeteria mid-way which we reached after 1.5 hour of The Zoomed view of Tiger's nest from the café.
