Jaipur to Ramgarh is only 3hrs drive ,you could either take a taxi or an Uber can cost somewhere between 3500 to 4000 rs ,if you hire a taxi it cost 8 to 10rs per km u can negotiate and toll tax is extra so incase you do a day trip it would the above mentioned amount .We hired a cab in the evening around 4 and reached Hotel Ramgarh Fresco around 7.30 pm ,we were given a beautiful suite room ,it's a beautiful hotel with lots of fresco paintings as this town is full of havelis like a living Museum ,our dinner was prepared by the host Ragvendar Singh and his wife Priyangana Singh these couple make some unique receipes , what we loved was lamb cooked in whole spices .
After breakfast we started for a heritage walk around the beautiful town with the maximum havelis in Shekhawati region all of them with beautiful fresco paintings as this place is not touristy u won't find many tourist ,we had a 2hr walk around the town ,exploring havelis ,some of them abandoned by their owners not in good condition , cenotaphs ,temples ,came back to the hotel for lunch and headed out again in the evening around 5Pm to explore more havelis as the light is golden yellow and it's good for photography ,there is a good view point going on the roof top of a shop in the market the host can assist you on a guided tour if you request him ,this town is defenelty a photographers delight ,it's Rich in history ,heritage ,culture ,good for antique shops ,our host knew some good shops where we could buy some really good antiques at a reasonable price .Our day was well spent had an amazing day clicking a lot of pictures ,we had dinner at the hotel ,as this is the only choice here and I would recommend to have dinner at hotel as it's home made food .
Today we boarded a train to Jodhpur ,from churu railway station ,which is the nearest railway station approx 20min form Ramgarh and the host can arrange a taxi which can cost approx 750 to 850rs .
