During our many trips to Udaipur, our stay at Aurika Luxury Spa and Resorts was definitely special. Its location, away from the hustle of the town lets one breathe in fresh air and witness exotic views of the green surrounding that envelopes the lakes and the town.

Sitting atop the second highest plateau of the city, overlooking the Sajjangarh Palace (Monsoon Palace), the property has adapted an architectural language of fortification letting you experience the lifestyle of royals who once hailed in this exotic town.

We felt the grandeur the moment we were at this palatial entrance that welcomed us with heavy monsoon showers. The first glimpse of the resort through the hazy dew drops guaranteed that we were just at the right place to unwind ourselves.

The buggy ride from the reception until our room which sat on the top layer of the property always lent us with unparalleled views of the surrounding.

While the many arched courtyards at various levels wrapped with exquisite traditional Rajasthani chattris were a perfect place of solace to immerse in the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan.

The aesthetically designed rooms were a pure reflection of the lifestyle of the royals with modern amenities for a comfortable yet homely feel.

Although we couldn’t access other recreational facilities like the spa, swimming pool due to the Covid-19 protocols, the overall charm of the place made it one of our best leisure escapes right after the unlock.
