Adventure sports may not come as the first thing on one's mind when we say Srilanka. But, Srilanka does offer a wide range of activities for those looking for an adrenalin kick. One can choose from activities like Paramotoring, Jetsking, Snorkeling, Scubadiving, Ziplining etc.
We went ziplining at Ela in near zero visibility on one of the longest zip lines in South Asia, it stretches more than 1/2 km through the hills and above tea gardens and hits speeds upto 80kmph. Aptly named , the flying Ravana is a ton of fun for any adrenaline junkie.
The zipline is inside a private tea estate cum resort in ella. One has to hike almost half a km to reach the zipline base. They charge $20 per person and can be paid through cash or card. Gopros are available for rent at extra cost. The harness and other equipment were of good quality.
They provide a ride back from the end base to the starting point once the run is done.
A must try in clear weather as the views will be amazing.
