I am a fan of traveling and have been to several cities around Texas. When I was invited by my college friends to go on a trip to Harlingen, I jumped at the chance.
I have been to Harlingen Tx a few times over the years. I really like this town and I want to tell you about it. I love the warm weather and my best memories are horseback riding and visiting the parks in Harlingen.
The best thing about Harlingen is that it is close to the beach and many attractions for children and adults. However, most of the attractions are free or very cheap and you can have lots of fun with kids at low cost.
Harlingen has lots of parks, most of them are free or you pay only a few bucks to get in. The fun here is cheap. It's not like you have to resort to a loan in Harlingen Tx to be able to enjoy the options that the city offers.. The one I liked most was Foy Park because it has lagoons with many waterbirds, ducks and turtles. It's also a good place for jogging as it has trails around the park.
The best thing for me was the bayfront park where you can find a playground, a big park to have a picnic and a shoreline to enjoy the sunset. It's also a great place to watch the birds as there are many bird watchers coming. The boardwalk is also very nice to walk by so we walked along the bay all day long.
It's right next to the Bass pro shop which has a restaurant inside where you can have breakfast for $5 per person if you eat before 10am on weekends (no kids menu btw).
Harlingen is a peaceful and beautiful city, where the blue of the sky accompanies you every day.
