When balmy sleep descends on your eyelids, there's not much you can do except succumb to the temptation and sink into blissful oblivion. But maybe not to the extreme discomfort and possible loss of feeling in your spouse's legs.

A tweet with a picture of a man standing on a six-hour flight while his wife sleeps across three seats has gone viral and sparked a debate online.

Though no other details of this picture were available in the tweet, the wife appears to be catching up on some zzzzs while her husband stood by her side. While some people 'awwed' at the picture, several others likened it to something of a Rose move towards Jack in Titanic where she refused to share the one plank they could have floated around on. Many raised eyebrows over how the man was allowed to stand on the flight for hours.
