Day 1

Dwizing- Live the River the 3rd edition of festival 2019 which started from 27 December 2018 to 7 January 2019.

This not the first time I have visited this place being a local as this spot is a good start to welcome the new year with your friends, family or loved one. So this year I celebrated my new year with in laws and witnessed the Dwizing Festival in a more vibrant and colourful way.

We have decided to visit the festival during the day and wrap it by evening by keeping it a short and crisp to have the glimpse of Mother River as we have in laws nearing to 60s and avoid the traffic at night.

I have got the most sweetest in-laws so far being a working bride at different place, Chapaguri Bongaigaon NH 31c was our meeting point where I was accompanied by elder brother till the meeting point.

Soon they arrived and got inside the car where the driver drives further towards the festival which is hardly 5km away from here crossing via Hagrama Bridge over the Aie River.

This time I realised the road towards the festival was looking more beautiful because of the newly constructed roads over the yellow mustard fields and the smell of the mustard blossomed flowers left us mesmerized by its beauty of the winter which turns into green carpet during the summer by paddy fields.

After half and hour ride we could see welcome to "AIE RIVER PARK" decorated inbetween the aronai where aronai is the cultural symbol of the locals.
Leaving the car behind for parking, we bought the tickets and headed inside.

We loittered and explored the festival where we spotted tourist enjoying the Elephant Rides, childrens taking the Joy ride in a train with families, the helicopters were flying over our heads in between, hot-air balloons making the blue sky looked more charming, few were enjoying the cool breeze taking the boat ride and many others where the activities of list was never ending. Me and my sis in law did some strawberry plant shopping and some forgotten indegenous pickels flavours like thaisuri, thiger, oma, etc by my mother in law which was exhibited by PMEGP units.

The festival looks more pretty at night and the place has the camping site for the tourists to enjoy the night and stay close with locals and enjoy the serinity of  river.

Walking over bamboo bridge to the other end of river we choosed one of the floating Restaurants over there and relaxed ourselves. The prices were little expensive so settled with our home made food packed by my in laws.

Relaxing, exploring and loitering towards the end of our tour we approached into the river and stepped in to discover the clarity and freshness of the river which left us refreshed. Taking the blessing of the Mother River we decided to call it a day and Audie to the last year 2018 and embraced the New Year 2019.
