We all have to agree that random trips can really rejuvenate us, while working hard on weekdays a random weekend trip becomes a necessity sometimes, just to escape our busy schedule for a while, experience something that we don't expect in our day to day life and spend some quality time with our friends and family. But it's not that easy, as it may cost a fortune.

Sariska, a place situated in Rajasthan surrounded by Aravali hills, famous for its tiger reserve, is an exception but not just that it has so much to offer, just 200 kilometres away from Delhi it offers great isolation, away from city life means no pollution, cleaner air, a lot of great views and starry night sky, Sariska is best suitable a weekend trip.

I heard a lot about this place, so one fine day while me and my colleagues were having a conversation in our office regarding a weekend trip, we decided to explore this place and the next morning on Saturday, without wasting any time, we took our car, got some clothes and other stuffs from our home, some booze and we headed towards this place.

Day 1

So the question was, where to stay? As we started our journey without any plan or deciding budget for trip, we were so desperate for a getaway.
Sariska being famous for camp style resorts near tiger reserve area, we had no intention to book a luxury stay as it was month end. But luckily I got a great deal online and I booked this camp resort called Bikamp Aravali, for rs 1800 per head, it included all the meals and some exciting activities. We were quite excited as everything was going well.

When we were about 60 kms away from our resort, the real fun started as we were surprised by the roads and views it offered, we just couldn't stop ourselves from stopping after every few kilometres, to soak those amazing views and click pictures. Sky was clear, air was clean and no traffic & honking.
Good company, a good playlist and some unexplored roads, that's how I wanted my 2020's first trip to start.

We reached our destination by the afternoon and we were surprised to see this place, it was surrounded by Aravali, in an isolation.
Trust me reaching this place was not an easy task. We lost our way in between as we lost network almost 10 to 12 kms away from this place, after a lot of off road trails, jungle views and wrong turns we finally reached this place.

We were surprised by the hospitality and friendly behaviour of the staff at the camp site, specially Indrajeet, the manager of that place, he was very helpful and friendly with us.

We clicked many pictures near our camps the sky was blue, helped us capturing some beautiful pictures. We spent our day playing cricket, and many games inside the campus area.

There were many activities with in the campsite, like camel ride, trek to a sunset point just behind our camps and many more. We spent our day enjoy all those activities. They also provided a safari tour for additional charges but it would've taken whole day so we skipped it.
Lunch, dinner and breakfast were included in our package and trust me food was one of the best things this place offered us, made from the fresh grown vegetables from their farms the food was authentic.

The day went well and it got really cold by the evening, we decided to make bonfire and the staff at campsite provided us wood blocks complimentary, enough that can last till midnight as our plan was to sit by the bonfire, play some good music and enjoy our meal. The sky was clear and soon it was flooded with stars and the sky was spectacular as being a delhiite it is not possible for us to spot a starry night due to light pollution. We spent whole night listening songs sitting by the bonfire under the stars, and I clicked some pictures of the night sky.
The weekend went well and we headed towards our home after having delicious breakfast next day at the camp.

So, this random weekend trip was actually not that expensive then what we always think about random trips. If I conclude my expanses for this trip, in just rs 2300, I spent a really awesome weekend with my friends and had some great experiences and stories to share. It was worth visiting this place, one should definitely visit this place during winters as it gets really hot in summers, I won't suggest visiting this place during April to September. I visited this place in January so the weather was quite pleasant.

Petrol : rs 2000
Stay+ food : 7200
