Many people do not visit this place in Coorg, but this is one thing you would never want to miss.
Coorg is called “Scotland of India,” but it doesn’t require that name. It’s beautiful in itself.
My friend and I decided to visit this place. We took a train from Bengaluru to Mysore and a bus to Coorg from Mysore bus stand. It’s pocket-friendly. We stayed in “Leisure Vacations.” The caretaker of that place is a gem of a person.
The day we reached, we did the usual sight-seeing of places like Abbey Waterfalls, Raja’s tomb, etc. One can cover all these places in a day. The next day we started for Mandalpatti at 4:30 a.m. Many people go to Coorg, and they skip visiting this spot, but this one thing you do not want to miss- “Watching Sunrise at Mandalpatti.” It is blissful, surrounded by fog.
After that, we went to Namdroling monastery on our way back. Some spots were closed due to maintenance. It depends on your luck.
