For getting the permit there is a waiting time of 1 day and you will be needing two passport photographs and your identity card. To compensate you can visit the above Local Attractions for which you can hire a cab - 1800 to 2500 (depending upon the season).
M.G.Road is must place to visit and have a lot of Showrooms , Restaurants , soveineir shops etc .

The place is 70 kms from the city of Gangtok, at an altitude of 14,400 ft from sea level.
The place is Border shared between INDIA-CHINA. The place is protected area with a limited Tourist inflow , closed on Sunday and Monday.
The Auspicious MANSAROVAR Yatra starts from the pass only with sharing of the tourist between the two nations.
Tsomgo(changu) lake is also another beautiful place . The view is stunning,with the snow covered hills on the other side and crystal clear Lake. You are offered a YAK Ride , which is a quite an adventure on its own.
