Beautiful trip to Sikkim

We visited Sikkim on December 03 -10,2015 (8 days). We reached in the evening of Dec 03. Next day, we visited different places of Gangtok like Ganeshtok, Plant conservatory center, water falls, Ropeway, Do drul chorten, Institute of Tibetology, Rumtek monastery, and Tashi view point.

Third day we went Nathula pass. It`s a very awesome place to visit. Sight scene was awesome in this trip. Some snow was also there in the hills of Nathu La way. Changu lake looked very beautiful due to snowy hills around. Also visited Baba mandir nearby nathula.

Fourth day we have started our journey to Namchi sight seeing. This place is culturally rich full of their spiritual history. There, we visited Char dham, Shirdi Sai Mandir, Samdruptse, and Buddha park. The day was one of the best day in our trip. All places are very beautiful and peaceful.

Fifth day we started our journey to Pelling sight seeing. Kachenjunga maountains was very near to Pelling. Snowy mountains of Kanchenjunga view was very awesome from our Hotel itself. We visited Yuksum first capital of Sikkim. Guru Padmasambha place was there where Guruji did their sadhna under a tree (even today this tree is there almost 400 years old) and Guru put His feet over a stone. This stone has His foot print on it. Next sight we visited Khecheopalri lake a holy lake. This lake is famous for its spiritual significance. This is a peaceful place.

Sixth day evening we reached Darjeeling.

Seventh day we started Darjeeling sight seeing with a new enthusiasm and lot of excitement. In morning 4:45 am, we reached at Tiger hill for seeing the beautiful being Golden mountains of mount Everest and Kanchenjunga in the sun light during Sun rise. we were eagerly waiting for the sun rise. the moment sun rises ,the hills of kanchanjunga starts shining and the view was surprising.Besides this we visited Batasia Park, Japanese Temple,Himalayan zoo and Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and beautifully maintained tea gardens.Another good place we visited was Refugee Tibetan Colony where manufacturing of different goods were there.

Now the time has come when we have to return.we spend 7 days over there. really the trip was awesome... with lot of beautiful memories.

Every hill in Darjeeling has tea gardens. Some hills have very beautiful view.

A beautiful water fall originated from Kanchenjunga. This is a great place to visit.

This lake is very peaceful place. It is in foot shape. Many stories are said for this great place.

It is Indo-China border located only 54 Kms from Gangtok. It is located at a height of approx. 14000 ft. We had seen snow at this place in starting days of December. This place has great views one can`t imagine. Must visit.

At this place, Kanchenjunga hills looking very beautiful in sunny days.

It is said Buddha park. It is constructed very beautiful and kanchenjunga snowy hills can be seen from this place. Itself this place has great view. Must visit.

This monastery is located at distance of 23 kms from Gangtok. This monastery has Nalanda institue where monks studied Buddhism. Great Place. Must see

Statue of Guru Rinpoche, the patron saint of Sikkim. The statue in Namchi is the tallest statue of the saint in the world at 36m.

This temple looks very beautiful and very peaceful place. Must see

This place is famous for its Panoramic view of Mount Everest and Kanchenjunga. During sun rise, snowy mountains of Everest and Kanchenjunga become golden. Awesome place to visit in Darjeeling. Must see

This Lake is on the way of Nathula pass located 12 kms away from Nathula. Awesome views must be observed at this place and must do Yak ride here. We visited this place in starting days of December, at this time lake is not frozen but in January this lake freeze. Must see

Its first capital of Sikkim, Yuksom has special religious and cultural significance. It has a number of famous Buddhist monasteries and historical monuments. Being at the head of the Khangchendzonga National Park and as the base camp for trekking to Mt. Khangchendzonga, it has large influx of mountaineers from all parts of the world. The village people, as stake holders in biodiversity preservation of the Rathong Chu valley, where the village is situated, have played a significant role in trendsetting and promotion of eco-tourism in the area. The inhabitants of this village have most successfully adopted promotion of ecotourism not only in the region but also for other similar areas in Sikkim. Yuksom is thus considered a model village for eco-tourism.
