You will feel positive and peace as soon as you enter the gate of the shrine (trust me its out of my own experience).
If you are looking for some time away from the city life, I would recommend it to go and visit the place.
There are local bus (fair around ₹100) which would take you exactly to the temple (from Udaipur). Try to take bus in the morning as it would be very crowded in the evening.
