Majestic mountains, chill in the air, lush green pine trees standing tall and proud…….. like teaching us to stay grounded with our head always held up and high. Sipping my morning tea and absorbed in the divine beauty of this small offbeat Hamlet Mashobra, I was so mesmerized by the hypnotic beauty of this place that I am short of words to express it here. Nestled in the Himalayas, Mashobra is a quiet and an unexploited destination which is merely a 10 kms drive from the most exploited renowned hill station Shimla, capital of Himachal pradesh.

Me and my friends stayed in Manla Home Resort, few kms away from Mashobra, which is magnificient with outstanding service and cleanliness, offering splendid view from the window.

We came from Delhi and it took almost 10 hours to reach our destination. Next day, we all have decided to explore Tattapani, which is 62 kms from our resort in Manla. We started early and halted at a Maggi and Rajma chawal point to get a taste of pahadi maggi. It was a misty day, with clouds hovering all around and that chirping sound of birds was taking us to another level of ecstasy. By the time we got our maggi it started pouring heavily and we all took shelter in our car and ordered tea as everyone was shivering out of cold.

After having tea and maggi, once again we headed towards Tattapani, which lies in Mandi district, situated on the bank of river Satluj. On the way we halted at different locations alien to us to get some pictures clicked.

I was wishing that this journey never ends 😇😇. The stretch between Manla and Tattapani was so breathtakingly beautiful that one can’t take his eyes off. Meandering rivers forming horseshoes, calmness, mist, sound of air, all was making the experience ethereal. We were enjoying the tranquility of mother nature😊😍 . Once done with our photography, we again started for Tattapani and finally reached there in 25 minutes…..Phewww!!

It was still raining like cats and dogs and we all were hungry. We settled ourselves in a decent Hotel, Hotel Hot Spring, offering this astounding view of River Satluj which was looking nothing less than Lake Como of Italy. Food filled our tummy and the spectacular view filled our soul😊😊.

At last, it was time to return to our resort in Manla. We went back with beautiful memories in our heart and reached our resort at 6:00 PM. Dusk was almost knocking by the time we have reached.

We were very tired and after having dinner, everyone retired to their room to start a new journey back to home next morning😃.

Though we were exhausted but the experience we had has diminished every bit of tiredness.

I was happy, we all were happy…..and the journey ends on a good note….!!

Though the miles may come between us, you’ll never be far from my heart…… vous me manquez Mashobra 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️.
