Day 1

Holla Internet,
Anurag (@thedailypixels) this side. TAJ MAHAL, the name is enough in itself to start with the great visualization and imagination. But in a country like India, you see queues everywhere and expect the popular places to be crowded. In this blog I will cover timings to visit, cost per person from Delhi, and photography related information.

1. How to reach: You can board Train from New-Delhi or Nizamuddin Railway Station, or can get a bus to Agra. Fare for the train can be 100-500 depending upon the type of ticket and for bus board bus from Noida City Center(board metro from Delhi to Noida) for Rs 200-300.

2. Entry tickets per person are 50Rs, this is just for your entry in TAJ premises if you want to go on the TAJ-MAHAL you need to get an additional ticket of 200Rs, there is no charge for DSLR, mobile or any camera. Flying drones are prohibited here.

3. Timings: Avoid any holiday season to visit the place, it is easily accessible hence gets a lot of tourists both local and foreigners. Friday TAJ-MAHAL remains closed for public. The only time you can have a serene experience of TAJ is at early morning. Expect queues to belong even at 5 AM so plan accordingly.

4. If you are a photographer, use the early morning light, if you have permissions from the authority you can visit TAJ an hour before it opens for common public. Carry wide lenses, it appears to be small, but as soon as you enter you will be amazed how massive this structure is. It is immensely beautiful with all the hand made painting and marble.

Don't just click from the front, try different angles, have a walk around and click from different places.

You can also ask people who get ready just to visit TAJ, these are mostly foreigners, you can politely approach them, they get beautifully ready in costumes of traditional Indian BRIDE and GROOM.

Brownie Advice: While driving from Agra Fort, stop when you see Taj Mahal from distance, you can have wide shots with sun or city in the backdrop. Also, you can go river (Yamuna) side that is behind Taj Mahal.

Leave from Taj by 9 AM max, I am pretty sure you will be tired by then.
