Praha aka Prague, is home to the World's largest ancient castle and also the biggest nightclub in Central Europe.

While most travellers in their early twenty's talk about how crazy the parties are in this city, Prague has much more to offer.

By far the most charming city I have visited. The magnificent Gothic structures; Endless strolls in the beer gardens; listening to the most Gorgeous street performer under a full moon; Prague had me under her spell.

Part I of my trip covers things to do in Prague during the day. As the sun sets, this modern medieval marvel will sweep you by your feet. Here is a guide to Prague, at Night

During the Day

The best way to start your day in Prague is to sign up for Sandeman's Free Walking Tour. It's a great way to interact with fellow travellers and get an insight into Prague, from an expert. This will cover the most important historic and cultural sites in the city.

If you plan on exploring the city on your own. Start with the most Majestic structure in the city, the Prague Castle. Exploring the castle and the area around it can be really tiring as its an ascent. Instead, a local suggested an easier way. We took the tram to Brusnice, which is on the back side of the hill, where the Castle and other important structures are located. Therefore, we only had to descend, which saved us a lot of energy. The pictures below will show you the route to the castle and the spectacular view at the end.

Opposite the Castle is the St. Vitus Cathedral. The interiors boast Gothic Architecture and the Stained Glass windows are an artistic marvel.

Imagine there's no heaven, It's easy if you try.....Although John Lennon had nothing to do with this wall, the graffiti is inspired by him and pieces of lyrics from Beatles' songs.

Across the Wall, a very smart person opened a cafe and named it the John Lennon Pub. It's a customary visit by all his fans. And who can resist someone playing his songs right outside the pub. For the heck of experience, I busked for half an hour to pay for my meal.

Want to escape to the most peaceful place in Prague? Letna garden offers you a splendid view of the city, with a variety of Beers and Wines to choose from. The climb to the garden is a great workout. If you are feeling lazy, take the tram around and to the back of the garden. This is also a great picnic spot as there are several benches overlooking the city. The garden is very big and you will see people primarily coming here to walk, run, relax or walk their dogs.

The Prague Metronome is a giant fully functional metronome inside the Letna Garden. The panoramic view from up here is arguably the best in the city.

I had seen the picture of the Dancing House mentioned in an article about Unusual Architectural Designs. Therefore when I saw it, I wasn't very surprised. This structure is only worthy of a picture; you should still check it out if you are strolling south, along the river side.

When someone told us about a beach in Prague, we laughed. It's a land locked city. But when we looked up on the internet, there is a beautiful place by the river. It's an artificial beach and often there are parties happening here. We couldn't go there, but do check this out.
