For those of you who know me, know that I fell in love with Prague. Right from the cobbled bath to the breathtaking architecture. All that beer and cherry on the cake? Prague is a paradise for vegans! You will easily find vegan restaurants in Prague.

I visited Prague for 5 days in March 2019, it was part of my 22 days of Europe adventure. 3 years ago I turned vegetarian and have been discovering some of the most delicious vegetarian or vegetarian adaptations of the local delicacies. So, when I was planning my European adventure my first thought was to look for vegetarian food. Cut to me landing into Frankfurt and I see vegan options in almost all the restaurants. So, I decided to try veganism, because of sustainability.

If you are traveling to the Czech Republic don't miss out on my list.

1. Vegan's Prague: A fine dining restaurant in the heart of Prague old town. It's the right place to dine after a long stroll at the Prague castle. The menu consists of some vegan twist of traditional Czech dishes as well as some burgers, salads and world cuisines. Must try: Svickova with dumplings, Avocado tartar and Raw cake.

2. Loving Hut: A chain of casual budget restaurant, this seems to be the go-to place for many. They specialize in Asian cuisine, especially Vietnamese. You can choose to order El-a-cart, take-away and pay on a weight basis or eat from the buffet menu. Must try: Thai curry, Vietnamese pho, Avocado and smoked tempeh sushi.

3. Laibon: Laibon is a vegetarian restaurant in Chesky Krumlov, the menu is largely vegan and the owner is welcoming. The food isn't the best, but the setting by the river makes up for it. Must try: Dhal, Hummus and Tokari.

4. Bistraw & Tea: A raw and vegan bistro, its place for a healthy meal. It is a beautiful place with helpful staff. It was my first time trying absolutely raw food (even pizza) and needless to say I loved it. Must try: Apple pie, Avocado pizza, Chocolate cherry cake, fruit ice cream and Tea.

5. Forrest Bistro: A cute little bistro, probably the best vegan breakfast I have had in Prague. Must try: Pandan pancakes, Buddha bowl and Flatbread.

6. Moment: A cute little cafe located a little away from the city centre. It isn't my most favourite place, but some of the food items were nice. The major drawback was that they accept cash only. Must try: Smoothie bowls.

7. Maitrea: A delight to all your 5 senses. Maitrea which translates to loving-kindness is a vegetarian restaurant in Prague old town. I recommend you sit in the basement area. Must try: Tofu gras, Quesadilla, Spicy goulash and Udon noodles.
