Hey all am back with my new trip adventure last year end. We had reserved train tickets from KSR Bengaluru to Kochuveli - Kochuveli express train. I boarded at cantonment station and two of my friends joined from KR puram station. This train start at around 4.30 pm from majestic. This train starts from mysore and destination is till Kochuveli.The train was full of Aiyappa devotes since at this time Ayappa swamy devotees travel which is true till Sankranti. We had some food in train and reached kocuveli morning 8.30 am.
There is a catch here where from kochuveli to varakala beach distance is 20-25km.
Cabs and auto charge nearly 2500+ rs for one way. Best way to do is either board a local train from kochuveli to varakala sivagiri railway station and take an auto(nearly 100rs) from there .
If not you can check if the train which you have booked stops at Varakala sivagiri stop. We were not aware of this Varakala sivgiri station and we went to rent two wheeler we went to Royal brothers near highway road in kochuveli.This app is literally a loot app they did not accept soft copy of our DL and were asking hard copy and without that they already detected our money and literally without using the bikes we lost 3000 for two bikes .We called there customer care even they were also not supportive. Not sure without validating why should some app deduct money do not go for it provided our experience same is also present in the app critical reviews in play store.
After that we booked a cab to varakala fed-up of fighting with no gain with the rental company we paid 2500+ for cab to reach varakala stay. Make sure you don't do this mistake.
We dumped our bags and hit the beach road to see the serene beach top view. we were starving so first decided to have lunch and this is what I had snitzel: It tasted yumm.
My amigos tried chicken main course and shrimp main course. The food was good and reasonable price in this restaurant. After good food we went back to stay took rest and hit back the beach in the evening. This beach is good to play , we played here for around 1 hr 30 mins .Then enjoyed the beautiful sunset. After that we headed towards our stay had good bath and hit the walkway on the cliff which is full of market, restaurants, cafe ,stays. This is spread for 2-3km.
After a good walk we had dinner and headed back to our stay around 11 pm.
I bought Dreamcatcher which comes in many colors here. Mis amigos comprar shirts.
Next day morning we started early around 6.30 am for walk a good 2-3km walk.
I had breakfast at my stay, my frens(amigos) had outside. We all packed and decided to travel via bus today to kovalam beach.
We reached Trivandrum from there we got bus to kovalam. Check with the people there they will guide you. People here are friendly and ready to help. From bus stop we took auto to beach he charged around 70rs. We reached our stay went for lunch. Beach was right infront of stay. Mis amigas(friends) went for a massage [ 700 per head full body massage] after that they played in beach in the evening , i enjoyed a beautiful sunset. This beach is good for surfing as waves of good height can be seen. I saw many people surfing with the boards.
Evening we all got ready and strolled around the streets of beach , some of us bought the souvenirs , had good dinner .
Next day we started early around 6.30am we walked for a while and later my friends started playing in the beach , after a while even i joined them. This is a very good beach to play.
Then we went to our stay , had breakfast and checked out.
Next we got down at Trivandrum stop[ travelled by bus] and here we saw we got down right infront of Sripadmanabhswamy temple. This is very big and ancient. We decided to visit. But due to crowd and queue we decided to head back.
Here we bought banana chips . halwa and dry fruits which were of good quality and reasonable rate. You can buy in the shops near to temple.
From here we took bus to lulu mall , spent time in this mall till 4.30pm. From here we took auto and reached kochuvelli station and boarded our train to bangalore.
It was a nice trip with lot of learnings thought to share the same and good soothing beach .Thanks to my amigos Adarsha and Chit who always make such trips happen. Chao until next time next blog.
