Leh is known for its surreal beauty. Another thing that the place is famous for is the Magnetic Hill.

Sitting at an altitude of 14,000ft and located at a distance of approximately 30 kms from Leh on the Leh-Kargil highway is a small stretch of road that defies the law of gravity. This place is very popular among tourists. The magnetic pull here is so strong that a car seems to be pulled uphill thus challenging the science of gravity. A yellow box is marked on the magnetic road, few meters away from the magnetic hill which indicates that the vehicle must be parked in neutral gear. It is from that point that the vehicle starts to move at a speed close to 20 kmph. Some people believe that it is an optical illusion or some paranormal activity; however such roads are fun to explore. This hill is a popular stop for travellers on Road trips.

However, this is the one that is known and popular but there are two more hidden gems in our country. The other two anti-gravity spots are in Gujarat.

Tulsishyam is a place situated on the border of Amreli district and Junagadh district, in the Gir forest national park in Gujarat. This place is famous for a temple which is believed to be 700 years old and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This place is also claimed to be an anti-gravity spot. If the vehicles are left without pulling the handbrake or in neutral gear, they will start moving upwards, thus breaking all the laws of gravitational force. However, this is limited to 150m stretch on the road. There are no actual theories that explain this weird phenomenon.

Kala Dungar or Black Hill is the highest point in Kutch, Gujarat. This place gives a panoramic view of the entire Rann of Kutch. It is about an hour's drive from the White Rann. Once you reach, there is a short climb which is not too difficult, either you can take a camel or even walk. It was discovered a few years ago, that this place has a gravity hill when few vehicles parked started moving at slow speed.

Some say it is a supernatural occurrence while others believe it is an optical illusion, but there is no conclusive theory till date.
