I was planning to go somewhere as I got frustated with my monotonous lifestyle. So need urgent break. But I didn't had company to travel with, and I am not a solo traveller. So I convinced my younger brother to come with me on a weekend trip as he was on leave that time. Then I talked with other friends and fortunately my 2 male friends ready to come with us. Means we 4 people's were going on weekend trip.
I always make my plan instant. Sometime or I can say most of the time some loss we face.
Me with my brother reached Lucknow. We didn't had any prior reservation. Got a passanger train from LKO to Agra. It took much more time than expected. Reached Agra @ 12 midnight. My friends reached there early and already booked rooms. Reached Hotel and taken our dinner, had some chat from past , planned for next morning and sleep.
Next morning woke up early and get ready to go Mathura. Had our breakfast in Hotel which is complimentary and took auto for Bus stand. It take 1 and half hours to reach Mathura by Bus. Reached Mathura by 11 am. Booked an Auto and Visited
Nidhivan - Where there are lots of trees which are supposed to be Gopi's and at night Shri Krishna do "Rasleela" with them.
Banke Bihari Temple- Unfortunately closed(most of the temple closed 12pm to 3pm)
Vasudev ji Temple- it is devoted to Vashudev ji
Sri Rang Nath ji Temple- It has South Indian temple architecture
Brahma Kund- It's near Sri Rang nath ji Temple
Dwarkadheesh Temple - it has "Baikunth Dwaar"
ISKCON Temple-Chant of 'Hare Rama Hare Krishna' is every where
Shri Krishna Janabhoomi- it's huge and magnificent temple. Have cave which depict stories of Krishna. Spend 2 hrs there.
Prem Mandir- it's last but most fascinating. It's actual beauty show in night. Must visit place. Beautiful architecture, lighting. All day tiredness gone by watching it.
Back to Agra by Jeep. Had our dinner and sleep.
Radhe....Radhe.... is the term I had learned that day. Mathura people's use this term most of the time
Get ready and had breakfast at Hotel. Visited
Taj Mahal - I don't have another special words to define it. Everyone know
visited early morning but sun is too bright. Spend 1 hr there, and at approx 10:30 it's unbearable to stay there. Marbles got hot.
Agra Fort - I liked this place so much. It's very very huge, having lots of stories of that time in it. Must book a guide for fort tour who will explain everything to you about every part of fort and it's significance. We spend approx 3 hrs there. I really like the stories related to it.
Akbar's Tomb - As the name suggests, it's a tomb of Mugal Emperor Akbar
Gurudwara Guru ka Tal - Gurudwara's are always my favorite. Had 'prasad of lunger' . Done some seva in kitchen.
There are some more tombs, gardens, Ameena Bazaar but don't have time. Can go to Fatehpur Sikri but tired also.
Back to Agra Fort at evening for light show, which I really don't like. It's a fully waste of time and money. In Delhi there are much better light shows beautifully depicting history.
Back to hotel, we all have trains at same night. Back to home by Monday.
Notes:-
•Hotels are much costlier on weekends. So search for good option.
• Breakfast at Hotel as complimentry, lunch at temple (ISKCON, Gurudwara), dinner as per wish
•Early morning is best for Taj mahal visit.
• In Mathura, most temples are closed between 12pm to 3pm.
•It's very pocket friendly visit.
•You can plan for Fatehpur Sikri on same day of Agra visit.
