I wonder if my love for Mussoorie is inspired by my fondness for Ruskin Bond and his stories I read as a kid or my dad's love for the place . Either way , it's been one of my favorite places to go , specially because the food is heavenly. Here are few of my eating hangouts :)
1. Lakshmi Mishtan Bhandar
Probably one of the most underrated places, Lakshmi Mishtan Bhandar has the best panner pakodas and samosas . Be sure to stop by for an evening snack.
2. Chic chocolade
The beautiful interiors and super friendly owner will make you feel welcome. They serve huge variety of dishes ranging from fast food , shakes, coffee and cakes.
3. Lovely Omelette Center
On busy days, there's an almost a waiting for period of an hour or above for an omelette, which is super filling. So be sure to grab a bite, when you see that there's less crowd.
4. Bombay chole kulche
I wonder why the name , but one serving is clearly not enough for the taste buds.
5. Aloo Tikki
This roadside aloo tikki has to be one of my topmost. Located on the mall road, the bhaiya is super friendly and has been selling aloo tikki for years. This simple dish will surely make you keep wanting for more.
6. Maggi at Gunhill Point
Gun hill is one of the popular touristy destinations, what I like about this place is the view it offers of the city. There are two seating areas to the right , which have open view , so don't settle for the views you get from elsewhere.
7. Momos
There are numerous stalls along the mall road, (specially at the start of Camel's back ) which serve equally delicious momos. The one in the picture below is from the kitchen of the restaurant called Avinash.
8. Pizza Italia ( for some Italian in the hills )
Let me know how many of these have you striked off in you list and any place that you think I must try in my next visit. :)
