Delhi to Haridwar ..
Started my first solo & most economical trip from the national capital Delhi. Before starting the trip have kept all the necessary items , like medicine for all the conditions, Medical kit , and garments for all the weather. Reviewed the weather forecast & boarded the train from Delhi at around 3:30 PM & de-boarded at 7:30 PM . It's four hour train journey or anyone can go by bus also .
Nearby railway station at Haridwar, state bus stand is there to get bus for any location, but for Kedarnath only Garhwal buses are allowed to go in that route or anyone can take their personal vehicle also .
Checked the earliest bus from Haridwar, got to know first bus will start at 04:00:00 hrs , so I was having around 8 hours with me, so firstly I took one Rickshaw for Har-K-Paudi i.e. Ganga ghat . After reaching Ganga ghat I roam here n there & found some dormitory, so took one cheap dormitory for 150INR just to keep my luggage and then I started roaming near the ghat . It's an awesome place where people use to come even at 1:00am with their families just to roam . Attaching few photos
Haridwar to GauriKund ...
Had a dip in Ganga at 03:00 AM in cold water to start my trekking as well as religious trip .
Board the Garhwal bus at 04:am and it took around 11:30 hrs to reach SonPrayag as the route is mountaeous as well as roads are not in good condition .
Reached SonPrayag at around 03:30 PM had one of the best local food , i.e. thali in just 70 INR . Actually all Garhwal buses stops at SonPrayag . Fro SonPrayag took sharing cab to reach GauriKund (5Km 20 min ) . Second day end here, took one room and spent the chilly night in GauriKund
GauriKund to Kedarnath..
As it was auspicious day of Choti Diwali started my trip after taking dip in GauriKund at 05:00 AM . After four days of Deepawali i.e. on Bhayadooj Kedarnath temple closes for winter session. So their were very less people were trekking but due to the plan of prime Minister visit one of Deepawali, lots of Khakhi guys were trekking . Anyone can get horse also for 1000 to 1800 INR for 16km trekking..
But as it was my trip for trekking so I continued my journey slowly & in the mid way made a friend and continued till the last . After trekking 6Km at one stopping point had my breakfast and touche the snow and it filled me with lots of energy to continue my journey. In the mid way lots of small chairs are out to rest and tea-points are there to have snacks ..
As winter had already started the path we're bit risky due to snow getting melt in afternoon and it makes trekking tough . But anyhow reached the top at 04:00Pm . I was dumb for few minutes that I completed one way trek , after they had my lunch on the top that also at minimal cost of 70 INR . And searched for dormitory and booked one for night stay . Kept my luggage in there and roam the besrby places and joined evening chanting in Temple . And felt some special energy, its around -10°c outside temp but didn't felt the same . Here comes end of another day after having dinner at nearby dhaba on top in -10°c .
