I am not a solo treveler. Actually till time I don't have guts to trevel solo. This trip is my 1st ever girls trips, before it boys are always there in my group to protect us, manage trevel, take headache regarding where to stay, where to eat, what to visit....
But this trip We planned for only girls and decided to do camping. We searched different sites, as affordability is also an issue.
We all had listen from our parents ,our coleague too much...... Camping is not safe,how u guys going ....Bla bla bla....
Scared little bit, if anything wrong happened than everyone going to blame us.
We 7 frnds girls gang😍 decided to visit rishikesh and do camping. I have already been in rishikesh 2 times for rafting only.
But this time camping ⛺also.
For our safety purpose we decided to do camping on FRIDAY NIGHT as on weekends tourists are more and chance of misbehaving increase.
We started our journey from chandigarh via roadways bus at night and reached haridwar approx 7 am. Reached rishikesh at frnds house at 8:30 am by auto. Take rest for some time, had breakfast, freshen up and ready to go. We booked rafting and camping for 1 night @2000/person with food
Reached raft operating agency at 2 PM. We started our rafting for 13km i.e. shivpuri. I am at front of raft. We are enjoying the overwhelming the adventure and suddenly something happened that we didn't expected
Fall from raft 😱 suddenly by strong wave of water, the current is so strong that it pull me away from my boat in just a sec. I have life jacket on but white river water are in my mouth, unable to take breath, everything is blur, with god grace...fortunatly saved by nearby raft and back to my raft again. (That fear is still in my heart.)
Did cliff jump, and have some maggie at maggie point. Enjoyed lot.
Back to raft agency and ready to go camp. Trevel from raft agency to camp was arranged by camping owner. Reached camp at 6 PM, have some evening snacks and spend quality time between nature and with frnds. Silence with river sound.....
Had our dinner and take rest as tired because of rafting.
Next day wake up early in the morning and witness beautiful sunrise. Fully relaxed and get ready for check out after having breakfast at 11 am.
Next We are going to neer garh waterfall by local vehicle. Reached there and as it's Saturday, crowd is so much. Put our bags in shop near waterfall have some tea. Ready to enjoy again in water. Spend 2 hrs there.
We dried self as sun is very bright.
We planned to go next to Beatles Ashram but it get closed at 5 PM, so drop our plan and visited Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, Ganga Arti and local market.
Back to frnds house, have dinner and sleep.
Next morning everyone had breakfast and ready to go to Beatles Ashram by auto. It was Ashram of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, a medidation centre. Beatles Rock band was there in Ashram in 1960's. We spend 1 hr there. Back to frnds house, pack our bags have lunch and take bus for delhi.
Notes:-
•Rishikesh is awesome and most affordable place to chill.
•Camping, rafting package cost ₹2000/person for us by local tour operator.
•There is lot more cheap hostels available in rishikesh as well as in haridwar.
•On weekend, raft operating agencies increase their cost and not give full time, they are in so much rush. You can enjoy rafting properly on days except weekend.
•You can hire scooty to visit places in rishikesh.
