Started my solo trip to Kedarnath with Shiva by my side to Delhi from Chennai Central.

Upon reaching Delhi the next morning, I caught a bus to Rishikesh from Kashmere gate. Almost reaching around 7pm in the evening, i had booked myself a room at ”The Army House”, a beautiful place to halt for couple of nights. The place was peaceful and felt like home. A bit far from the city which i did not expect but yes, not when you are coming by your own vehicle. A must stay indeed.

After a good night sleep, woke up the next morning to an amazing view.

After some talks with the local and native people, who were really welcoming with warm smiles, hired a bike to roam around the city of “yoga capital of the world”. The city streets were crowded with visitors from across the globe to learn yoga and meditation and in fact to find themselves immersed in the Maa Ganga and her lovely and stunning Aarathi. The ram and lakshman jhula literally hanging above maa ganga gives you the scenic beauty of the landscapes and hillscapes of Rishikesh.

Carrying Shiva and his blessings in my heart, I started my way back to the hotel room, so i can start my journey to ”Kedarnath - The crop of Liberation” the next morning at 4am.
Having booked the bus online to sonprayag, which is the last road accessible to kedarnath, I started my journey.

Reaching Sonprayag in the evening around 3.30pm, with Mandakini river flowing so elegantly on the sides, i started walking to Gaurikund and onwards to kedarnath.

Embarking on my spiritual journey to the most beautiful place on earth, KEDARNATH TEMPLE, where the history and legend of long living tale lives and more than that the people’s belief. This terrain took me through some falls in the beginning, shops on the sides and more importantly, nature all along the way.

Upon walking 25km, feeling the presence and blessings of shiva throughout my journey, i reached kedarnath temple around 11pm. The place was so quiet and serene like it is meant to be.
A tremendous space of Divine energy. If you make yourself available to it, you will feel yourself receiving the divine grace of shiva and his energy.

I stayed at temple overnight in a tent so I could see the beautiful architecture once again in the morning.
The snow and sun capped mountains, the lush green hills and the majestic nature surrounding us proving again and again over time that we are not more than a small piece of dust in this huge cosmic universe.

Feeling more blessed and devoted than ever, i bid adieu to this majestic and magical Abode of Shiva.
I reached chennai the next day night with heart and mind full of memories, blessings and devotion.
Thank you for reading this.
