Kerala is known as "God's Own Country" due the lush green lands with some amazing hill stations which has tea estates, wildlife and spectacular waterfalls. If you are staying in southern part of India and looking at the pictures of your friends who are in north also they are frequently visiting Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Vagamon is a hill station which is marked by lofty green mountai, pine forest, winding roads, water falls and located 1200 meters above see level. This place is a weekend getaway for IT people from Bangalore as well and it an underrated place as well, so you can ditch touristy crowd. This offbeat hill station is home to the majestic Poonjar Palace, Illikal Peak and the iconic Meenachil River, mentioned in Arundhati Roy’s ‘God of Small Things’. The Vagamon Kurishumala Church and the Muslim holy site of Thangalpara, are other well-known places to visit here.

Thekkady is a perfect place to spot wild life and like other hill stations it has a hush green surrounding. It is famous for Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary so the hill station is cover with dense forest. Your major activity will be jungle safari, river cruise and bamboo rafting.

Munnar is the one the famous hill stations in South India. Why not it has big, expensive lush green tea estate and peaks above the clouds. It is located in western ghats and hosts one of the biggest tea plantation in the world. It has many protected areas for highly endangered species like the Nilgiri Tahr. There are sometime when temperature here drops -2 degree Celsius and trees get enveloped with glistening snow during this time. Munnar also have one of the rarest blue flowers in the world which is known as Neelakurinji, which comes into life once in a 12 years.
