You must be craving to fly out and spend some time in a new country. Right? Also, you must be having so many questions in your mind- "What are the travel restrictions in that country?", "if I plan a vacation, then would I be able to roam about freely?" and so on.
Yes, Traveling has changed post Covid-19 Pandemic. We can no more travel wherever we like to and whenever we like to. We need to keep ourselves updated and plan accordingly.
So, if you have vacation plans for April, then read on to know which countries have extended travel restrictions till April.
Five countries that have extended travel restrictions are:
1.Finland
2. Italy
3.Germany
4.Netherlands
5. United Kingdom
Finland
According to Media reports ,the Finnish government has extended the country's entry restrictions till 30th April 2021, which would be effective from April 1,2021.Prior to this decision, Finnish Government had announced restrictions till 17th of April 2021.Internal border controls and restrictions on external border traffic shall remain in place to contain the virus.
Who can enter Finland?
The restrictions on entry have been lifted for Australia, Vatican City, South Korea, Singapore, Rwanda, Thailand, and New Zealand due to the low infection rate in these countries.
Also, all Finnish residents can return to the country and leave the country at any time unless any specific law restricts them.
Italy
As per sources, Italy is observing Emergency situation till 30th April 2021 as it battles the 3rd wave of the pandemic. Most of the country shall be in a state of Lockdown. Tourism is not currently allowed from any other country.
Also, the 10 p.m. curfew shall remain in place countrywide until further notice, and no bars can sell takeaway drinks after 6 p.m.
Who can visit Italy?
Countries like Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Rwanda, Singapore and Thailand are considered low risk countries and their residents are allowed unrestricted entry. However they have to self-isolate for 14 days on arrival at a place of their choice. Also they must not take public transport to their destination.
Also arrivals from most of Europe are allowed except Austria.
Germany
As per media reports, Germany has issued restriction to entry till at least 18 April 2021. All hotels and other accommodation providers are allowed to offer overnight accommodation to people whose travel is essential. Hotels are not permitted to provide overnight accommodation for tourism purposes.
Who can enter Germany?
Entry is allowed for people travelling from EU member states and states associated with Schengen, that is, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
Netherlands
As per reports, Netherlands have extended travel ban till 15th May 2021. Netherland Government shall announce further steps and decisions regarding the restrictions on 13th of April. These guidelines shall be effective from 20th of April onwards.
United Kingdom
Media reports suggest that UK has banned Foreign travel till 17th Of May. This rule is strict for people of England if they attempt to go on vacation " without reasonable excuse" while travel restrictions are in place. They could face a steep fine of about Five thousand pounds.
British Government is on the way of making plans of allowing non essential travel after May 15.
The list above doesn't give high hopes of international travel but we should all understand the situation and hope for a better future.
