Day 1

This time we planned our trip for Hong Kong. We booked our flight with spicejet @ 18.5k p.p from 1 November to 10 November. I used Flipkart for flight booking. Also we were little afraid due to current protest going on in Hong Kong.

Our journey doesn't had a good start as we had some bad things happened. We missed our cab so we had to book other one. We sent power bank in checkin luggage due to which we had to get double recheck.

After having dinner @ premium plaza we finally caught our flight for this amazing journey.

This time we were carrying enough ready to eat meals for our trip as Hong Kong have negligible vegetarian restaurants.

Day 2

Finally we reached next day @ 8 am. Our flight was an hour late. After getting little freshen up we took sim card as purchased from klook @ ₹434 that is valid for 8 days.

We also took octopus card @ ₹712 per card which included refundable fee. Octopus card is a must buy card for travel in Hong Kong as it is valid in bus ,metro and 7/11 stores for payment.

I recommend klook as it gives the best prices.

We took bus for North point from the airport. It costed @ 45 hk$ p.p which is the cheapest possible from airport as MTR and cabs have much higher price. I booked the hotel through makemytrip for 2 nights @ 2900₹ per night. We reached hotel @ 10 am and we were not allowed checkin till 2 pm as the rooms were full.

After getting some rest at reception we took MTR for ngong ping. The MTR is located just next to our hotel. It took an hour to reach our destination. We booked our tickets through klook @ ₹1200 p.p. for roundtrip. There was designated line for klook bookings. Ngong ping cable car is a must do experience in Hong kong. The Ngong Ping 360 is a gondola lift on Lantau Island in Hong Kong. The 25 min cable car shows true Hong Kong experience.

The Hong Kong Big Buddha in Lantau Island is one of the largest seated Buddha statues in the world. It stands at 34 meters high (112 feet) and is one of Hong Kong's most popular sights. Tian Tan, as the Big Buddha is known, is made of bronze.

The cable car drops to this place which will take approximately 2-3 hours if you want to explore the place. There are few places to explore here which includes Po Lin Monastery. Behind the monastery there is deli vegetarian cafe where i couldn't find anything related to indian taste.

We planned for Sunday as weekend have special shows. The place is one of the best amusement parks I have been to. I couldn't find any vegetarian food inside Disneyland. We carried our own food for lunch. The place is worth every penny with enough of attractions to keep you amazed throughout the day.

Even in Mc Donalds we couldn't find any vegetarian burgers except French fries.

The park is quite vast as there is a train and sky cable car within the park to reach other side of the park. There were many attractions. The bad part was many rides were closed due to maintenance. Even after that it took full day to complete the park attractions. The place is a must visit but but better than Disneyland. The park closed at 6 pm for weekdays.

One of Hong Kong's swankiest malls, Pacific Place is palatial, and more reminiscent of a hotel than a shopping mall.

The mall is connected to admiralty MTR.

This market in the quaint village of Stanley on Hong Kong Island’s south coast is a huge hit with locals, expats and tourists for good reason: its enormous selection of brand-name clothing items (large sizes are available) and accessories, jewellery, home furnishings, souvenirs, ornaments and Oriental knick-knacks are sold at reasonable prices in a picturesque warren of lanes.

And if that’s not enough to grab you, the nearby eateries along the breezy seaside strip surely will!
