Local beach near Athens. 1 hour bus journey from Athens. The water was too cold in april for me but I could still see a few locals swimming. June or July is great for swimming here.
Ancient kourion in Cyprus. Stunning view of the Mediterranean. Cyprus has a rich culture and history . It stretches a Starting from the Greek Empire, followed by the Romans, Venetians, French, the Ottoman empire and the British ( they still have a military base in cyprus). Presently the country is divided in two parts. The northern part is under turkish influence and the Southern under Greek influence. Both claim to be independent but remain heavily under the influence of the larger neighbours. We crossed the border in Cyprus and . I would recommend the experience. You will get some suspicious looks at the border otherwise the process is smooth.

The Vatican. The grandest churches and architecture from The Roman catholic church. we also visited some Greek orthodox churches in cyrpus and the contrast in the rituals and the architecture is noticeable.

Amsterdam in a nutshell for me. Magic mushrooms, cannabis, coffee shops, bicycles, trams, happy people, great food. Definitely worth a visit and a great start to the euro trip
The city runs at a different pace. it's small and charming. there are more tourists than locals in Venice. no cars are allowed and you can either walk or use the water bus (vaporetto) to travel in Venice. walking lets you get lost in the narrow streets of Venice and is the best way to discover the city
