Enjoying Beijing differently- Trying out the Guzheng!

It was an honour for me to be invited to the special Guzheng session that was conducted at the Renmin University,Beijing. Before we got to play the real instrument,we were briefed about its history and the glorious past.

Now once the briefing was over,we got to see some sheer class performance by this beautiful young lady and we got to know that how actually Guzheng sounds like! She was too good with the Instrument!

Now it was time for me to try my hands on Guzheng! I am seriously deprived of any sorts of musical skills,so you can understand that how nervous I would have been????

All set to rock and roll!

I was made to play the all time classic-"Happy Birthday to you"! Haha! And that too wasn't easy for me! I was trying my level best to get the notes right!

I did finally manage to strum out some music I believe! All in all this was one of a kind experience where you get to experience the heritage of China so closely! It was an experience of a lifetime.
