So the day you plan visit to Pamban you need to get a weather check done. Since July will be beginning of rain, I don’t think it would be heavy rains. Though downpours are encountered.

On the banks of Kadalundhi river this sanctuary is the home of 100 migratory birds. Located at a higher sea level there are rare, lovely birds to view. You would also spot sea animals, besides kingfishers. There is trekking organised inside the forest, besides a full boat ride on the river. An ideal picturesque spot. Though best time to visit is between November to April, if you are lucky you might see lot of birds now. With monsoon season setting from June in Kerala, kindly check on weather and plan your journey. I travelled in the month of December to Kozhikode but it was couple of years back. Weather was good, and had opportunity to see few new unknown birds.
