July is full monsoon month of Kerala. Many days go into downpour, and long days of rain. Inspite of rains, weather is hot in Kerala that temperature ranges between 23 to 30 degree Celsius. You definitely need to carry umbrellas and rain coats. Your travel for that day will depend on the rain forecast. So itβs better to plan your travel based on the rains, which start from next month. I had travelled to Trivandrum from chennai, in the month of July. Stayed for two days, one day we were lucky to visit places, next day there was a downpour. Once I travelled to Alleppey in the month of July, rains were heavy and our travel plans were cancelled that we could cover very less.
Kerala will be Most probably Quite Rainy if you travel towards Mountains definitely the rain is compulsory but if you travel towards some pilgrimage so that you can plan accordingly if you want to enjoy in Kerala so you need to visit in November where the weather will be good enough to support for the fun ππ.

Hampta pass is on Pir Panjal ranges full of flora and fauna. Trek to Hampta pass is best in the month of august for you get to see lovely views, peaks and absolutely lush greenery around. The only drawback is soon rainy season starts, so treks and hikes are based on that day weather. Bunbuni pass on the roads of Kheerganga is another trekking spot. Compared to Hampta pass this trek is tough. You get to see Parvati river all through the path, along with forest, snow capped peaks. My advice would be Hampta pass, especially now and before rains. Someday you should try Bunbuni pass trek too.
